Stuck in the Middle

Have you been feeling stuck in the middle of something lately? I have, which is one of the reasons I’ve not posted anything for a while. After feeling extremely run down for a few weeks I discovered I had glandular fever. All up I was sick for somewhere between 6-8 weeks.

And it was not a fun time. Even after the acute illness had resolved I was left very fatigued for a few weeks, unable to do much more than lie on the couch and rewatch Brooklyn-99 (watch it if you haven’t it’s a great show.)

After several weeks I found I was getting pretty miserable, wondering if I would ever get back to my old self. Even though I had a diagnosis and the my illness followed a textbook pattern, I was still miserable.

But I don’t think I’m alone in that. It’s so hard to see your way through something when you’re stuck in the middle of it. And so often, as the saying goes, the only way out is through.

So if you’re going through something, and you feel like you’re stuck in the middle, take heart, and seek help. That help might be me, if you want some hypnotherapy, your doctor or even an emergency department.

If you want to know more, you can drop me an email, or make a direct appointment here.
